    Mrs. George Vowels died at
her home in Larue County, two
miles below here on the Rolling
Fork early Sunday morning of
tumor of the brain in the 58th
year of her age.  Mrs. Vowels
was an estimable lady and was
a general favorite with all who
knew her.  She was a daughter
of the late Mathias Elliott and
lived and died in the house she
was born in.  She leaves a hus-
band and a grownup family to
mourn her loss.  She was a mem-
ber of the Methodist church.
