| | Page 4 During the past week a corres- pondent for a daily paper in dis- tant Oregon, has been in our midst, viewing the things of note. He entered the store of Col. John Terrell, one of our oldest and best posted citizens. He gave teh news man an insight into much of the early history of busy Bloomfield. He showed him the city of the dead where lie the remains of Beauchamp and wife. This tragedy is one that can not be easily effaced from the memory of the reading public, as it is always kept bright by being written and rewritten for various papers. The old grave tone bearing upon it the poem composed by Ann Beau- champ, is still in a splendid state of preservation. |
