WILLIAMS Graves

On the old Fisse Farm along the line between this farm and the farm once owned by James & Morton Gilliland and later owned by the heirs of Paul Gilliland, just south of Ridge School House and about five miles southeast of Versailles, Ind. Are a few graves that have been plowed over until no trace of the graves remain. By piecing together a few fragments of markers which were piled against a tree the research worker obtained the following inscriptions.

These graves are just across the line from the graves of the Creaths on the Gilliland Farm. It might be said that the two are one burial plot as only the difference of land ownership divides them. It is rumored that some of the Probst Family may be buried on one side of this fence in this destroyed family cemetery and that Mr. Creath is also there, but the research worker was unable to find any stable proof of these graves. The farms above mentioned were once owned by these families.

THANK YOU,
